Job summary

Anduril Industries in the United States seeks a Mission Software Lead to own the onboard software ecosystem of the ALTIUS-600 platform. You will lead a cross-functional team spanning hardware interfaces, real-time flight software, and autonomous decision-making to deliver reliable VMS and C2 capabilities.

This role requires 7+ years on high-performing software teams, 3+ years of people management, and strong C++/Linux expertise.

Qualifications

• 7+ years experience on high performing software teams.
• 3+ years direct management experience of 5+ people.
• Demonstrated ability to drive a high-performing technical team.
• Significant hands-on work on interdisciplinary projects (robotics, autonomous vehicles, avionics, or aerospace).
• Strong embedded systems fundamentals: real-time software, drivers, Linux/RTOS.

Responsibilities

• Lead Initiatives & Drive Outcomes for the VMS roadmap and team resources.
• Architect & Deliver complex systems integrating hardware and software.
• Problem solve & innovate on hard, undefined challenges.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners and stakeholders to align goals.
• Mentor and develop software/robotics engineers for succession and capability growth.
