Job summary

Incerta Intelligence is seeking a Mission Software Engineer based in Charlotte, NC or remote within the United States to own mission applications from architecture to deployment. You will work on distributed systems that operate in disconnected edge environments, including government engagements, with ownership of end-to-end delivery and quality.

This role demands the ability to obtain and hold a U.S. security clearance.

Qualifications

• 4+ years building, deploying, and operating production software.
• Strong Python and API design; ownership of a service in production.
• Hands-on Kubernetes and AWS experience; CI/CD fluency.

Responsibilities

• Own mission applications deployed to customers—full lifecycle from concept through demonstration, pilot, and production.
• Build and operate containerized microservices in AWS GovCloud: Kubernetes, CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code.
• Integrate LLM-driven agentic workflows, retrieval pipelines, and knowledge-graph capabilities into deployable products.
• Deploy, test, and demonstrate capabilities on disconnected edge-compute hardware.
• Contribute to the SIA core when a capability serves more than one mission—and exercise the judgment to know when it does.
• Work in a tight loop with government end-users, turning operational feedback into shipped software.
• Triage issues, root-cause failures, and own the fix.
