Job summary

JobCubby seeks a Mission Solutions Engineer in the United States to architect and deliver end-to-end mission software across cloud, edge, and on‑prem environments, including ATO processes and secure, scalable architectures.

You will apply Agile DevSecOps, CI/CD, IaC, and AI-assisted methods, collaborating with leadership and DevSecOps teams to align with DoD security standards. This role requires US citizenship and an active Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline; at least 3 years of experience using AI for software development.
• Experience architecting large-scale software systems and developing full-stack solutions.
• Experience with microservices, event-driven systems, and modular monolith patterns.
• Strong Agile DevSecOps, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, cloud architecture, and modern practices.
• Experience with AI/ML in software development and mission applications.
• Familiarity with MOSA and MBSE.
• Knowledge of DoD proposals, white papers, or similar business development materials.
• Knowledge of Python, Django, PostgreSQL, Redis, Keycloak/OIDC, OPA, Celery, React, Vite, Material-UI, Kubernetes, Docker, Nginx.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to explain complex tech to varied audiences.
• Mission-focused with operational empathy in high-consequence environments.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain Top Secret/SCI clearance.

Responsibilities

• Architect and deliver end-to-end mission software across cloud, edge, and on-prem environments up to ATO.
• Translate mission requirements into secure, scalable architectures.
• Serve as technical authority for design across microservices and modular approaches.
• Establish modern engineering practices: Agile, DevSecOps, CI/CD, IaC, AI-assisted development.
• Apply AI/ML to speed delivery and decision support.
• Collaborate with leadership and DevSecOps to meet DoD security requirements.
• Contribute to proposals, technical approaches, and white papers.
• Help establish standards and repeatable practices across missions.
• Explain complex architectures to diverse stakeholders.
• Support development using Python, Django, PostgreSQL, Redis, Keycloak, OPA, Celery, React, Kubernetes, Docker, Nginx.
• Operate in ambiguous, disconnected environments; Travel ~10–25%.
