University of Dayton Research Institute (UDRI) in Warner Robins, GA seeks a Manufacturing Planner/Scheduler to lead operations, logistics & supply chain for advanced air force tech. The role supports aircraft, vehicle and ground equipment parts, coordinates shop-floor routing, and uses ERP for planning and purchasing activities.

Responsibilities include production scheduling, materials flow, and metrics reviews, with occasional special projects.

Qualifications

Requires a Bachelor's degree in business management, finance, operations management, engineering/technology plus 3 years related experience, or high school with 10 years related experience.
3 years technical experience in manufacturing planning/scheduling role.
3 years of logistics analysis and production planning in a manufacturing environment.
3 years of experience utilizing an ERP system creating manufacturing routers or resource planning in a manufacturing environment.
1 year of experience related to purchasing activities.
Familiar with casting, CNC machining, forging, heat treat and additive manufacturing for metals or plastics.
Proficient at using MS Office products to track/present data.
Experience creating and briefing production reports to senior leadership.
Experience working with government customers in a manufacturing environment.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently.
Valid driver’s license with low-risk driving record.
Due to requirements of our research contracts with the U.S. federal government, candidates for this position must be a U.S. Citizen.
P3 Minimum Qualifications - must meet requirements for P2 in addition to: Bachelor's degree in business management, finance, operations management, engineering/technology plus 6 years related experience, OR high school plus 15 years related experience.
6 years technical experience in manufacturing planning/scheduling role.
6 years of experience in logistics analysis and production planning in a manufacturing environment.
6 years of experience utilizing an ERP system creating manufacturing routers or resource planning in a manufacturing environment.
6 years of experience related to purchasing activities.
Preferred Qualifications: Ability to read technical drawings, engineering drawings, and interpret specifications.
Experience in inventory management and control.
Working knowledge of ISO 9001/AS9100 quality standards.
Experience implementing ERP software.
Experience with lean concepts (5S, Lean, Six Sigma).
Experience working with socially and culturally diverse communities.

Responsibilities

Manage the production schedule and coordinate supply chain activities.
Coordinate shipments of parts to/from customers and vendors.
Route parts through shop floor and perform process analysis and resource planning using ERP.
Oversee inventory management and related purchasing tasks.
Compile, facilitate, and present periodic metrics reviews.
May plan, coordinate, and manage special projects; travel between base and suppliers as needed.
