Job summary

University of Dayton's UDRI Warner Robins team is seeking a Manufacturing Planner / Scheduler to lead operations, logistics, and supply chain for air force technologies. You will manage production scheduling, coordinate shipments, and support ERP-driven resource planning for aircraft parts and ground equipment.

The role requires experience in manufacturing planning, logistics analysis, and purchasing activities, plus strong MS Office skills and the ability to brief senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business management, finance, operations management, engineering/technology plus 3 years related experience.
• 3 years technical experience in manufacturing planning/scheduling.
• 3 years of experience in logistics analysis and production planning in a manufacturing environment.
• 3 years of experience utilizing an ERP system creating manufacturing routers or resource planning in a manufacturing environment.
• 1 year of experience related to purchasing activities.
• Familiar with various manufacturing processes such as casting, CNC machining, forging, heat treat and additive manufacturing for metals or plastics.
• Competent in interpreting and/or creating manufacturing plans.
• Proficient at using MS Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) to track/present data.
• Experience creating and briefing production reports to senior leadership.
• Experience working with government customers in a manufacturing environment.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Valid driver’s license with low-risk driving record.
• Due to requirements of our research contracts with the U.S. federal government, candidates for this position must be a U.S. Citizen.

Responsibilities

• Manage the production schedule and supply chain management.
• Coordinate shipments of parts to/from customers and/or vendors.
• Part routing through shop floor and resource planning using ERP.
• Inventory management and related purchasing activities.
• Coordination, compilation, and facilitation of periodic metrics reviews.
• Planning, coordination, and management of special projects.
• Traveling between base and suppliers as needed.
