Job summary

Maximus is seeking a Data Scientist Advisor to support SOF human performance programs by analyzing large datasets, applying ML/NLP techniques, and developing data-driven solutions that inform decision-making. You will work with product managers, engineers, and biostatisticians to design experiments, build models, and create dashboards.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in ML/DS, cloud data platforms, Python/Scala, and strong communication skills. U.S.

Qualifications

• 5+ years with ML/DL frameworks and algorithms (e.g., CNN, GAN, LSTM, XGBoost).
• 5+ years data engineering with big data tools on cloud platforms.
• 5+ years programming in Python, Scala, Julia.
• Experience deploying ML models in production (MLOps) a plus.
• Strong communication, leadership, and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on data analysis and modeling with large data sets.
• Apply ML/NLP to improve relevance and personalization algorithms.
• Collaborate with product managers, software engineers, and designers on experiments.
• Develop and maintain dashboards that automate analysis and present trends.
• Enter, clean, and analyze data within government systems as needed.
