Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking Software Engineer / Principal Software Engineer for on-site work in Manhattan Beach, CA, focusing on state-of-the-art mission planning systems. You will design, implement and test software, maintain CI/CD pipelines, and collaborate within a cross-functional scrum to deliver critical capabilities.

The role requires a STEM degree with 2+ years of related experience (or Master’s with less experience), DoD Top Secret clearance, and strong skills in C#/Java, Windows,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM and a minimum of 2 years related experience; or 0 years with a Master’s degree.
• Active DoD Top Secret Clearance required.
• Experience with Agile Methodology and CI/CD tools (Bamboo, Jenkins).
• Proficiency in C# and/or Java and OO software design.
• Experience with Microsoft Windows technologies.
• Test procedure development and maintenance; experience with formal test events.
• Scripting with YAML, Python, PowerShell, Batch, or TypeScript; automated testing experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, document, test, and debug applications and systems.
• Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines for fast, bug-free delivery to production.
• Set up and deploy Development, Test, and Build environments.
• Create and update Windows installers; install, test and verify software products.
• Provide support for software builds and testing; work in a cross-functional scrum.
• Interface technically with customers and support contract deliverables.
• Define automated test strategies and contribute as Scrum Master when needed.
