Job summary

SAIC is seeking a Mission Planning Lead to drive test planning and execution for the MACH-TB program. You will oversee the lifecycle from initiation through post-mission reviews, coordinating with Mission Director and engineers to ensure objectives are met.

The role requires a Secret clearance (TS eligibility), a STEM degree with extensive experience leading large teams, and willingness to travel 25–50% in support of hypersonic flight tests and DoD testbed environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant STEM field (Systems Engineering, Aerospace, Operations Management, or equivalent) and at least nine years of experience; Master’s degree with at least seven years is preferred.
• Proven ability to lead large, multidisciplinary teams in complex environments.
• Significant experience leading concurrent mission operations and managing travel (25-50%).
• DoD standards, acquisition processes for T&E familiarity; experience with mission architecture and cross-classification work.

Responsibilities

• Lead all mission activities from inception through post-mission reviews to ensure timely, high-quality deliverables.
• Coordinate and liaise with Mission Director/Test Chief Engineer and cross-functional teams.
• Develop test plans, MR readiness artifacts, execution checklists, and mission calendars for approval.
• Support mission architecture and test design in cross-classification environments.
• Provide frequent briefings to senior leadership and transparent status updates.
• Coordinate range support and travel to facilitate planning, site visits, and execution.
