Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Modeling & Simulation Systems Engineer 4 for on-site work in Northridge, CA to develop and validate weapon-system simulations. A DoD Secret clearance is required to begin; SAP clearance is possible later.

Qualifications

• BS degree in aerospace engineering, physics, software engineering, systems engineering, or a related field with 8 years of experience or an MS degree in the same with 6 years of experience.
• Experience with leadership of cross functional teams.
• Proficiency in developing or troubleshooting C or C++ applications on Windows, and preferably on Linux.
• Significant experience with MATLAB or Python for data analysis and building analysis tools.
• Experience applying dynamics/kinematics to analysis or software development.
• Experience in Jenkins or other DevOps tools.
• Current US Government DoD Secret security clearance with ability to be cleared for SAP.

Responsibilities

• Modeling & Simulation Engineering: develop, integrate, and validate models and simulations; test and analyze to verify requirements; ensure traceability from system requirements to models, tests, and results.
• Technical Leadership & Integration: backfill into Product Owner/Scrum Master roles when needed; interface with customers; lead technical reviews; mentor junior engineers.
• Process, Governance & Compliance: support DevOps pipelines; maintain docs for models and interfaces; ensure cybersecurity and export controls compliance; contribute to process improvements.
