Job summary

Vannevar is a defense technology company building AI to deter adversaries. We are hiring a forward deployed MissionLead to embed with DoD customers nationwide, anchored in Minnesota with significant travel. You will work on-site with users, decompose complex problems, and configure workflows that prove value in demanding environments.

You will collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to optimize deployments, build trust, and represent Vannevar to customers across field operations.

Qualifications

• Active TS clearance is required.
• Role based in Minnesota with ~75% travel across the U.S.
• Comfort in field environments and high-stakes settings.
• Owns outcomes and operates independently.
• Demonstrates grit, ambiguity handling, and mission judgment.
• Shows professional presence in government contexts.

Responsibilities

• Embed with DOW users on site to understand mission needs.
• Build trust by understanding user problems and delivering value.
• Turn ambiguity into actionable mission hypotheses and workflows.
• Configure high-value product workflows for field users.
• Test, troubleshoot, and coordinate releases with engineering.
• Generate mission wins by onboarding users and demonstrating impact.
• Develop new user groups and expand deployments on site.
• Operate independently with clear prioritization and execution.
• Represent Vannevar as the face of the company to users and customers.
