Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation in El Segundo, CA, seeks an IT Infrastructure Systems Architect to design and integrate production IT architectures supporting satellite, launch, weather modeling, and cyber systems. The role focuses on Windows/Linux, patch management, and Zero-Trust security within a DoD-cleared environment.

Onsite, full-time position within Mission IT Operations, reporting to the engineering IT leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technology-related discipline is required.
• 8 years of IT systems administration, infrastructure, or architecture experience.
• Proven Windows and/or Linux expertise across an enterprise.
• Experience designing patch management strategies with compliance.
• Experience embedding security principles (Zero-Trust, firewalls, segmentation).

Responsibilities

• Interfacing with ETG and program offices to translate needs into service requirements.
• Translate internal/external needs into service offerings and design patterns.
• Test patches in hardware-in-the-loop configurations, resolve issues, coordinate installs.
• Integrate IT services across the mission enterprise (software/hardware).
• Implement mission-focused IT services and capabilities.
• Maintain operations of platform/software services for engineering environments.
• Provide Tier 3 administration for unique engineering configurations.
• Represent ETG and program office as liaison with service providers.
