Job summary

Muon Space, Inc. is seeking a Staff Mission Formulation Lead to spearhead strategic capture efforts and explore new market opportunities in EO/IR remote sensing. You will bridge technical teams and business development to shape missions for defense, intelligence, philanthropic, and commercial end-users.

You will guide multi-stage programs from engagement to end-to-end concept studies, contribute to R&D roadmaps, and engage directly with customers to define mission requirements.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in Earth remote sensing mission and/or instrument development.
• Ability to decompose high-level mission objectives to technical concepts and solutions.
• Experience with EO/IR and related space missions in government and commercial markets.
• Existing TS/SCI clearance or ability to obtain and maintain.

Responsibilities

• Lead execution of mission formulation contracts and drive cross-functional teams to deliver mission concepts and customer engagement.
• Lead strategic capture campaigns for high-value mission opportunities in government and commercial EO/IR domains.
• Drive end-to-end mission programs from early engagement through design concepts and delivery.
• Support R&D activities/proposals as Principal Investigator.
• Create technical proposals, white papers, and concept studies to articulate differentiation and roadmap.
