Job summary

Indian Health Service in the United States is seeking physicians to provide comprehensive patient-centered care across acute, chronic, and preventive medicine. You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, perform specialty procedures as credentialed, and contribute to teaching and clinical innovation while supporting American Indian and Alaska Native communities.

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree from an accredited US/Canada school or foreign equivalent with ECFMG or approved pathway
• Current, active full and unrestricted medical license/registration in a US jurisdiction
• 1 year of supervised graduate medical training (internship/residency) in a hospital/approved training program

Responsibilities

• Provide expert patient-centered medical care including evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute, chronic, and preventive health needs.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, effective, and coordinated care.
• Perform specialty-specific diagnostic/therapeutic procedures within trained scope and credentialing.
• Contribute to teaching and mentorship of medical staff, students, and trainees.
• Participate in quality improvement, patient safety, and clinical innovation initiatives.

Education

Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
