Organic Valley is seeking a Mission Education Content Intern for Summer 2027 in Wisconsin. This role will preserve and bring to life the cooperative's stories through digital media, working with the Mission Education Core Team and Creative Team to transform video archives into learning content.

You'll assist with pre-, production, and post-production tasks, transcribe content with AI tools, and help build a digital library.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in post-secondary with one year or less from graduation required.
  • Pursuing a degree in Communications, Video Production, Digital Media, Journalism, Film, or Marketing.

Responsibilities

  • Preserve and organize historical media archives related to Organic Valley and mission education.
  • Transcribe video and audio content with AI-assisted tools.
  • Assist in recording legacy interviews with member-owners, leaders, and staff.
  • Capture footage and create content at mission-related events for Organic Socials.
  • Assist in developing story concepts, interview questions, and content plans with Mission Core Team.

Mission Education Content Intern

Summary of Role

The Mission Education Content Intern is responsible for preserving, organizing, and bringing to life the stories, history, and mission of our cooperative through digital media. This role will work with the Mission Education Core Team and the Creative Team to transform existing video archives into engaging learning content for Mission Education programs. Assisting with the capturing of “Legacy” interviews that preserve the history of the cooperative, this will entail, pre‑production, production and post‑production supporting duties. Assist with building a digital library and AI optimized dataset by cataloging historic and new footage, audio interviews and documentation. They will be responsible for creating multimedia assets that connect employees to CROPP's mission and history.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Media Management
  • Review and organize historical media archives related to CROPP, Organic Valley, mission education, farmer‑owner stories, cooperative governance, and company history.
  • Transcribe video and audio content with use of AI assisted tools.
  • Storytelling & Content Creation
  • Assist in the recording “legacy” interviews with member‑owners, founders, leaders, employees, and mission partners
  • Capture footage and create content at a mission‑related event for our Organic Socials.
  • Assist in developing story concepts, interview questions, and content plans with Mission Core Team.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities
  • Participate in Mission Core Team and Mission education events.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Knowledge, Skills and Competencies
  • Currently enrolled in post‑secondary education with one year or less from graduation required.
  • Pursuing a degree in Communications, Video Production, Digital Media, Journalism, Film, or Marketing.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with video editing software
  • Interest in storytelling, documentary production, or oral history projects.
  • Strong communication skills; both verbal and written required.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office programs required.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and responsibilities effectively.Ability to work individually and in a team environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Interest in organic and working with farmers and cooperative business model preferred.
  • A fascination or curiosity with how Organic Valley formed and found success would be helpful.

Base hourly wage range: $20.00 per hour

Hours per week: 40 hours
