Volunteers of America Northern California & Northern Nevada, Inc. is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to lead full cycle recruiting for California and Nevada locations, focusing on frontline and case management roles.

The role partners with HR and program leaders, manages ATS, coordinates interviews and onboarding, supports job fairs, and ensures an equitable, mission-aligned candidate experience across our nonprofit healthcare and social services programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or related field preferred.
• 1–3 years in full cycle recruiting or related HR role; multi-location hiring preferred.
• Experience recruiting for nonprofit, healthcare, or mission-driven environments; knowledge of ATS and sourcing platforms.

Responsibilities

• Forecast staffing needs with HR and program leaders across CA and NV.
• Manage full cycle recruiting: post announcements, screen, interview, and assist offers.
• Source candidates via job boards, social media, colleges, and community orgs.
• Maintain ATS accuracy and track recruitment metrics.
• Coordinate job fairs, events, and outreach to promote VOA as employer of choice.
• Standardize job descriptions, interview guides, and selection tools.
• Support interview training and equitable hiring practices.
• Assist onboarding and New Employee Orientation.
• Maintain a live recruiting tracker and report trends.
