Job summary

The Salvation Army Indiana Division is seeking a Manager to oversee thrift store operations. You will supervise cashiers and volunteers, coordinate weekly schedules, assist customers, and ensure the mission is carried out on the shop floor.

Strong cash handling, reliability, and adherence to procedures are required. Weekend/evening work is expected; a valid driver’s license and background check are required.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Background checks: position requires a background check to be completed.
• Experience: Past retail experience a plus but not required; cash handling experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Close cash drawers, count money, verify sales and complete deposits.
• Supervise staff and volunteers at the thrift store.
• Ensure store is neat, fully stocked, properly priced, and pricing coordinated.
• Learn and enforce all store policies and procedures.
