Job summary

MITRE is seeking an Intermediate Software Developer to join a collaborative team delivering software solutions for national security and other sponsor missions. You will contribute across the full software engineering lifecycle, leveraging modern technologies and frameworks to address real-world challenges.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/CE or related field with 2 years of related experience or Master's with applied experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a US government security clearance.
• Experience in at least one modern language: Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, C/C++, C#, Python, Go, or Rust.
• Knowledge of DevSecOps concepts and software lifecycle.
• Exposure to CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, automated security and testing practices.
• Experience with Git and software development tools.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, D3, and frameworks like Angular, Vue, React.
• Experience using wireframing and design tools for UI/UX development.
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly and work independently or in a team.
• Commitment to MITRE’s mission and ability to work on mission-focused projects.
• Position requires minimum 50% hybrid on-site; US citizen for security clearance.
