Job summary

LiftFund in McAllen, TX seeks a Loan Consultant to guide small business owners through the loan application process, assembling complete packages and ensuring timely closings.

You will collaborate with BDOs, underwriters, and closers, maintain CRM records, and deliver high-quality service while promoting financial inclusion across LiftFund’s markets. This role requires attention to detail and a customer-first mindset.

Qualifications

• HSD or equivalent required.
• 2 years in financial analysis, loan processing, or related role.
• 2 years with CRM platforms or loan systems.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; quick to learn new systems.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in documents and data entry.
• Strong organization and time-management; multitask capable.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with empathy.
• Ability to work independently and in teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Customer-first mindset and borrower-focused service.
• Familiarity with SBA/EDA or government loan programs is a plus.
• Experience in micro/small business lending or loan closing preferred.
• English and Spanish bilingualism highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage an active loan applications pipeline with strong responsiveness.
• Review applications for accuracy and completeness; identify gaps.
• Collect, verify, and package required documentation per policies.
• Collaborate with BDOs, underwriters, and closers for seamless processing.
• Conduct loan closings and ensure timely disbursement requirements.
• Maintain accurate CRM and loan-system records.
• Ensure compliance with procedures, regulatory requirements, and privacy.
• Report loan pipeline status and production metrics to supervisors.
• Deliver outstanding customer service across channels (phone, email, in-person).
• Contribute to process improvements for speed and accuracy.
• Assist borrower education initiatives and delinquency support.
• Aim for first-contact resolution.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
