Job summary

Denver Rescue Mission is seeking a Chef for its kitchen operations in Denver, Colorado. The Chef will oversee daily meal preparation, manage volunteers, and ensure the highest food safety standards are met. This position can be either full-time or part-time, requiring the candidate to have previous cooking experience and the ability to lift at least 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Previous cooking and commercial kitchen experience required.
• Solid Christian ethic with ability to work with diverse backgrounds.
• Must be willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute daily menu for buffet meals.
• Organize meal service and train kitchen volunteers.
• Maintain food safety and hygiene in the kitchen.

Skills

Cooking in large and small quantities

ServSafe® certification (or ability to obtain)
