Job summary

New Horizons seeks an experienced Director of Development to lead our donor engagement and fundraising efforts. You will drive strategies to increase annual revenue, grow major gifts, and execute legacy and grant programs in support of youth homelessness initiatives.

You will supervise a diverse team, collaborate with executives, and expand corporate and church-based giving while advancing equity in services and organizational culture.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years directing nonprofit development operations.
• Minimum 5 years connecting with individual donors and organizations.
• Minimum 2 years of staff management experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and donor database programs.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute development strategy outlining income, sources, and goals.
• Develop three-year giving strategy with measurable outcomes.
• Supervise development team and manage portfolios of major donors.
• Grow monthly giving and workplace campaign strategies.
• Develop major and mid-level donor plans and planned giving strategy.
• Expand grants program through research, scheduling, and execution.
• Collaborate with leadership to build fundraising capacity of the board.
• Support communications plans and refine organization messaging.
