Job summary

Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Chicago is seeking a Senior Director of Cybersecurity to lead hands-on security operations, vulnerability management, and incident response across the organization.

You will guide cloud and endpoint protection, coordinate with IT teams and external partners, and drive security governance, metrics, and risk reporting to inform strategic investments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, IT, CS, or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive cybersecurity experience.
• Minimum 5 years leading cybersecurity programs or teams.
• Experience with enterprise cybersecurity technologies and security operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead vulnerability management, penetration testing, identity security, and incident response activities.
• Oversee configuration and operation of cybersecurity technologies (CrowdStrike, Zscaler, Defender, Entra ID, Azure, SIEM, SOAR).
• Collaborate with IT and business units to enforce security controls and regulatory compliance.
• Develop cybersecurity metrics and risk reports for leadership.
