Job summary

Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Chicago seeks a Senior Director of Cybersecurity to lead hands-on security operations, vulnerability management, and risk-based improvements across servers, endpoints, cloud, and identity platforms. You will provide technical guidance to IT leadership and coordinate with internal and external partners.

The role emphasizes strategic security architecture, metrics, and board-ready reporting while aligning with mission-driven objectives and regulatory

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, CS, Information Systems, or related field.
Minimum 10 years of progressive cybersecurity experience.
Minimum 5 years leading cybersecurity programs or teams.
Experience managing enterprise cybersecurity technologies and operations.

Responsibilities

Hands-on security operations including threat monitoring, incident response, investigations and cyber recovery planning.
Lead vulnerability management, penetration testing, identity security, cloud security, endpoint protection, and incident response.
Manage security technologies and platforms (CrowdStrike, Zscaler, Defender, Entra ID, Azure security, SIEM, SOAR).
Partner with IT and business teams to implement controls, ensure regulatory compliance, and guide security initiatives.
