Job summary

Shepherd’s House Ministries is seeking a mission-driven Chief Operations Officer to expand impact across sites and strengthen operations in service of homeless services, addiction recovery, and trauma-informed care. You will lead the Executive Team, steward resources, and align systems with the organization’s values.

This role requires strategic thinking, strong collaboration with the CEO and community partners, and the ability to manage multiple programs, facilities, and safety initiatives

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
• Senior leadership experience in nonprofit or related settings.
• Christian alignment with trauma-informed care familiarity.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities across departments.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the executive team and day-to-day operations.
• Provide strategic oversight and operational leadership across SHM.
• Ensure systems, facilities, safety compliance, and capital planning.
• Partner with Finance on budgeting, forecasting, and stewardship of resources.
• Monitor operational metrics and drive organizational growth.
• Coordinate during emergencies and community events and partnerships.
