Job summary

Penlink is seeking a Professional Services Engineer to deliver and support cloud-based and on-premise solutions for our global customers. You will work across multiple platforms, collaborating with internal teams to ensure successful implementations and ongoing support.

The role requires 3+ years in a similar technical role, strong Linux and VMware ESXi experience, and excellent communication skills. This hybrid position requires two days per week in our Lincoln, Nebraska office.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a technical engineering role such as Systems Engineer, Application Support Engineer, or Professional Services Engineer.
• Advanced knowledge of IT systems including solution implementation, networking, servers, and web-based applications.
• Strong experience with Linux, cloud environments, and VMware ESXi.
• Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining both physical and virtual servers, including cloud and VMware environments.
• Experience supporting customer environments and working with customers across global locations.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a hands-on, results-oriented approach.
• Strong task management skills and the ability to influence and collaborate without direct authority.
• Familiarity with cloud security and compliance practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English.
• U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Implement, support, and maintain customer cloud-based and on-premises solutions across multiple platforms and environments.
• Work across a variety of technologies and environments, continuously developing technical knowledge and expertise.
• Collaborate with internal teams to support customer implementations and ongoing solutions.
• Manage assigned tasks and projects, ensuring timely completion and effective communication of status and issues.
• Participate in staging, testing, and deployment of advanced technical solutions.
• Develop, maintain, and utilize serviceability tools to support implementation and troubleshooting.
• Identify and address technical issues across customer environments and develop effective solutions.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and contribute to knowledge sharing.
• Take ownership of assigned technical solutions from planning through completion.
