Job summary

The Salvation Army Thrift Store in Davenport seeks an accounting professional to manage financial operations including AP/AR, payroll, and GL maintenance. This role supports accurate reporting, budgeting, and compliance with accounting standards.

Responsibilities include processing payroll journals, filing sales tax returns, reviewing vendor payments, and assisting with month-end close. On-the-job training and team-based environment are provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum: 2-year (A.S.) accounting degree plus accounting work experience.
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in accounting plus work experience.
• Proficient with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Perform full-charge bookkeeping and maintain GAAP compliance.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
• Review and post bi-weekly payroll journals.
• Prepare and file monthly sales tax returns.
• Maintain control procedures for cash and petty cash.
• Process billing and reconciliation for vouchers.
