Job summary

Nominal is hiring a Mission Dev Engineer for new grads graduating Summer 2027. You’ll work with engineers building and testing complex hardware systems and develop software that helps customers move faster while ensuring safety and precision.

You’ll blend hands-on software work with product judgment, shipping features, learning from users, and turning insights into scalable capabilities for the team.

Qualifications

• Graduating Summer 2027 or sooner with strong engineering fundamentals.
• Hands-on software experience from internships, projects, or coursework.
• Interest in working directly with customers to ship usable software.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with customer engineers to understand testing and analysis workflows and identify problems you can solve with software
• Design and build integrations, data pipelines, and applications that connect Nominal to customers’ systems and handle high-frequency data
• Own projects from understanding the problem through building, deploying, and supporting the solution with mentorship
• Put working software in users’ hands early, learn from usage, and iterate quickly based on feedback
• Share learnings with product and engineering teams to turn customer solutions into reusable capabilities
