Job summary

Leidos is seeking a cleared Wide Area Network Engineer (2nd Shift) to engineer, operate, and sustain long-haul transport and routing infrastructure across DoD networks from Langley AFB. You will ensure circuit availability, performance, and STIG compliance and work on the watch floor to resolve WAN issues daily.

The role requires daily on-site work at Langley AFB with core hours 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM, and involves coordinating with DISA, NOC/SOC, and transport providers to sustain mission-critical

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of experience or a Master’s degree with 2+ years of experience.
  • Active Top Secret clearance and ability to obtain SCI prior to start date.
  • DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II certification or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain BGP routing across the enterprise WAN with peering and route policy enforcement.
  • Execute circuit installations, migrations, and site cutovers with rollback plans.
  • Develop routing policy standards and document topology diagrams.
  • Apply DISA STIGs to routing and transport devices and support RMF artifacts.
  • Coordinate with DISA/NOC/SOC and providers for maintenance actions and outages.
  • Monitor WAN health with SolarWinds and NetFlow; provide capacity recommendations.
  • Manage Type 1 encryptor configuration and key management for secure enclave connectivity.
