Job summary

Leidos Defense Sector seeks a cleared WAN Engineer (2nd shift) to design, operate, and sustain long-haul transport and routing across DoD networks. On-site work at Langley AFB with core hours 4:00 PM–12:00 AM, supporting enterprise WAN resilience and STIG compliance.

You will maintain BGP routing, conduct circuit Install/Migrations, produce topology diagrams, and coordinate with DISA/NOC teams. Requires 4+ years DoD WAN experience and Top Secret clearance; CCNP/JNCIP-SP or equivalent preferred.

Qualifications

• Clearance: US Citizen with active Top Secret clearance and SCI eligibility.
• Bachelors with 4+ years experience or Masters with 2+ years experience in DoD WAN engineering.
• DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II or higher certification preferred.
• Hands-on WAN engineering across multi-site DoD networks.
• Proficient in BGP configuration, policy, and peering with DISA/DISN.

Responsibilities

• Maintain enterprise WAN routing architecture and policy enforcement.
• Install, migrate, and upgrade circuits with rollback plans.
• Develop topology docs and IP/ASN allocation plans.
• Apply DISA STIGs to routing devices and remediate IAVA items.
• Coordinate maintenance with DISA, NOC/SOC, and providers.
• Monitor WAN health with SolarWinds and NetFlow; provide capacity insights.
• Manage Type 1 encryptor configurations for secure connectivity.
