Job summary

CTI Allentown is seeking an experienced Control Room Integration Technician to install and support AV projects in the Allentown, PA area. You will work with the Control Room Team Leadership to install video walls, displays, and projection systems, ensuring precise color balance and proper signal flow.

The role requires 3–5 years in AV operations or control rooms, strong soldering and CAT6 cable skills, and a willingness to travel up to 80% outside the metro area.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in AV operations, broadcast, or control room environments.
• Hands-on experience with AV systems, signal flow, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with Barco and VuWall systems is a plus.
• Strong communication and customer service skills are essential.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and perform construction support tasks.
• Willingness to travel up to 80% outside the metro area.

Responsibilities

The Control Room Integration Technician will work closely and in cooperation with the Control Room Team Leadership to perform the installation of assigned projects and assist with on-site coordination as required. This position requires a specific skill set to include the following:Mechanical expertise in the construction of video walls, displays, and projection cubes with a strong eye for color balancingFamiliarity with video processing, including Windows OS installation and configurationNetworking skills, including Multicast and network switch configurationGeneral video knowledge of display resolution and DVI/HDMI, and Display Port signal typesMust possess expert termination, wiring, and soldering skills as applicablePreferred: Experience with Barco and VuWall system installation and integrationStrong communication skills are a mustMust be physically capable of lifting and installing equipment of 50 lbs. minimum weight, climbing ladders, and performing other general construction support activities.Willingness to travel—up to 80% outside your metro areaDoes experience count?3–5 years in AV operations, broadcast, or control room/mission-critical environments.Hands-on experience with AV systems, signal flow, and troubleshooting.CAT 6 cable construction: 1 year of experienceSoldering various-style connectors: 1 year of experienceCustomer Service Experience: A must!
