Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Mission Critical Software Test Engineer in Middletown, RI to develop and execute comprehensive test procedures for Navy applications. The role involves Linux-based environments, Agile practices, and collaboration with government stakeholders to ensure high-quality, compliant software.

The position is hybrid, onsite Mondays-Tuesdays at a Navy facility with remote work otherwise, requiring a Secret clearance eligibility and strong test planning skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
• Experience writing and executing formal test procedures from requirements.
• Background in software testing, systems testing, integration and test, verification and validation, or QA.
• Experience coordinating test activities, schedules, and milestones.

Responsibilities

• Develop, execute, and maintain formal test procedures from requirements.
• Perform manual, regression, integration, and verification testing.
• Plan and coordinate test events to align with milestones and deadlines.
• Track progress, identify risks, and communicate status to leadership and stakeholders.
• Lead test execution and coordinate tasks across engineers.
