Job summary

Actalent is seeking an Intermediate to Higher Software Engineer (C++ / RHEL) for a 100% on-site SCIF role in Redondo Beach, CA. You’ll contribute to mission-critical systems, work with a large software IPT, and participate in agile ceremonies to deliver high-quality software.

The role emphasizes design, development, and maintenance across multiple subsystems, with a focus on rapid yet reliable delivery in a secure environment. TS/SCI eligibility and SCIF access are required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience developing software in C++.
• Hands-on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) experience.
• Ability to design, code, and test from formal MARs.
• Experience troubleshooting defects and resolving DRs.
• Works well in a fast-paced agile team.
• Collaborates with SMEs and higher engineers across subsystems.
• Active TS clearance with SCI eligibility; capable of SCIF work.
• Willing to work 100% on-site in a SCIF in Redondo Beach.

Responsibilities

• Develop in C++ within an agile team on RHEL VMs, servers, and workstations.
• Design, implement, and unit test software capabilities from MARs.
• Analyze, identify, and troubleshoot software issues; resolve DRs.
• Collaborate with IPT SMEs and higher engineers across subsystems.
• Support development and O&M across multiple mission software product lines.
• Sustain and enhance existing mission software while developing new capabilities.
• Participate in agile ceremonies to ensure timely delivery.
