Job summary

Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. in Herndon, VA is seeking a Secure Facility Operations Manager to lead daily facility operations, security, and COOP planning across multiple sites.

The role demands strong relationship-building, cross-team collaboration and hands-on project management to eliminate barriers and deliver steady, secure infrastructure services. You will coordinate with stakeholders, manage budgets, and develop plans for maintenance of critical facilities.

Qualifications

• Experience reading and understanding schematics and building drawings.
• 5+ years facilities management or 5+ years electrical and mechanical facilities maintenance experience.
• Experience in vendor management.
• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline with 5+ years experience or 10+ years experience in secure facility management in lieu of degree.
• Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret with SCI eligibility or above.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily facility operations and customer requests.
• Prioritize and execute tasks.
• Document writing and presentations up to the director level.
• Serve as Facility Manager responsible for developing plans and programs.
• Support and develop budgetary requirements for the operation and maintenance of the facility.
• Ensure maintenance, alterations and repairs of the facility are complete and correct.
• Maintain alternate work location facilities with other SFOM's.
• Serve as the primary coordinator of secured facility emergency actions and planning.
• Submit work orders, maintain area security, provide escorting when required.
• Develop and maintain facility operations, procedures, and blueprints.
• Manage one or more functions for alternate work facilities. Acquisition, maintenance, and disposal phases in support of COOP.
