Job summary

GCON Inc. is seeking a Safety Manager to lead EH&S on assigned projects, bridging field operations with enterprise safety initiatives. You will drive regulatory compliance, incident investigations, and continuous improvement while coordinating with client safety departments and internal safety leaders.

The role emphasizes developing safety tools, conducting audits, and delivering technical safety training to project and field leadership, ensuring a strong safety culture across sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 7–10 years of construction safety experience, including 3–5 years in data center, mission critical, or semiconductor environments.
• Working knowledge of OSHA and applicable state-specific regulations, hazard mitigation strategies, and claims management.
• Familiarity with high-risk activities (crane operations, confined space, fall protection, etc.).
• Ability to support and coach junior safety staff.
• Proficiency in safety software and data analytics.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and problem-solving skills.
• Current driver's license and clean driving record per Company vehicle policy.
• Physical requirements include regular communication, seeing, talking, hearing, and the ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to access all areas of an active construction site.

Responsibilities

• Develop and customize Site-Specific Safety Plans (SSSPs) for projects.
• Review subcontractor SSSPs for compliance; flag deficiencies for resolution.
• Support crisis management plan implementation on sites.
• Conduct routine safety audits and identify trends on projects.
• Assist with regulatory inspections and citation responses.
• Ensure corrective actions are documented in safety software.
