Job summary

Maximus is seeking an experienced Release Manager to support a mission-critical federal program. This role leads release planning, governance, and deployment across a portfolio of applications and infrastructure environments.

The ideal candidate has strong experience in release management, software build and deployment, DevOps practices, and cross-functional coordination. This on-site role requires an active Secret clearance and citizenship due to contract requirements, with 7+ years of related

Qualifications

• 7+ years in release management, DevOps, configuration management, or related technical roles.
• Experience managing enterprise-level builds, releases, and deployments across environments.
• Experience with version control, CI/CD pipelines, Agile or DevSecOps.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and execute releases, patches, security updates, and changes across mission-critical systems.
• Manage release lifecycle including version control, rollback planning, Go/No-Go reviews, deployment coverage, and post-deployment validation.
• Coordinate software builds, DevOps configuration changes, and deployments across dev, test, staging, and production.
• Facilitate meetings (TRB, CRB, CRQ, OCCB); prepare agendas, materials, decisions, and actions.
• Identify risks, issues, and resource constraints affecting release scope, schedule, or quality.
• Administer GitLab upgrades, patching, access, and account management.
• Track release activities and deployment status in systems like EWM and ServiceNow.
