Job summary

EXP, an award-winning international engineering firm, is seeking a Mechanical Designer/Engineer for Mission Critical and Commercial building projects in Richmond, VA or Columbus, OH.

You will work with AutoCAD, prepare calculations, review codes, and coordinate with MEP/Arch teams to deliver designs on multiple projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• EIT certification required; PE preferred.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in mechanical design.
• Strong leadership and communication capabilities.
• Preferred experience includes data center, mission critical and/or telecom industries.
• Building design experience is a must.

Responsibilities

• Proficient with AutoCAD and related drafting tools.
• Prepare/Review calculations for loads and supporting calculations.
• Coordinate with disciplines (MEP/FP, Arch, Struct) and respond to RFIs.
• Edit specifications to reflect project requirements and scope.
• Develop scope of work narratives and control design documentation.
• Mentor/design staff and ensure design quality and timely delivery.
