Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) at Offutt AFB, NE is seeking a skilled IT Systems Support professional. The role focuses on installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting mission-critical information systems across NIPRNet, SIPRNet, JWICS and SAP/SAR environments while ensuring 24/7 availability for USSTRATCOM users.

Qualifications

• AA/AS (or equivalent experience) required.
• 5+ years of experience in technical support, system maintenance, or IT operations.
• ITIL Foundations v4 certification or ability to obtain within 9 months.
• 8140 certification within 6 months of hire.
• Current/active Top Secret clearance or ability to obtain TS/SCI.
• Location: Offutt AFB, NE; experience in secure, mission-focused environments.
• Proficiency with Active Directory, MS Office, system/server/workstation troubleshooting tools.
• Knowledge of Linux, networking fundamentals, routers, databases, and system security best practices.
• Strong documentation, customer service, and communication skills.
• Ability to diagnose complex issues and collaborate across teams.
• Experience deployments, system upgrades, and IT maintenance operations.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot information systems, applications, servers, and peripheral hardware.
• Support day-to-day IT operations including repairs, patches, and hardware replacements.
• Provide technical assistance for end-users and resolve access, networking, and workstation issues.
• Monitor system performance, identify issues, and escalate complex problems as needed.
• Maintain Active Directory accounts, group policies, permissions, and security configurations.
• Document troubleshooting steps, repairs, changes, and procedures for consistent service delivery.
• Support deployments, installations, and integration of new equipment and software in secure environments.
• Collaborate with operations, networking, cybersecurity, and engineering teams to ensure system health.
