Job summary

Draper, an independent nonprofit R&D organization based in Cambridge, MA, seeks an Operations Program Manager to lead cross-functional teams through the full lifecycle of hardware programs, from development to delivery. You will align people, materials, and processes with program priorities and manage risks across cost and schedule.

The role requires coordinating with engineers, planners, and supply chain partners, while maintaining strong customer relationships and ensuring adherence to quality

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, business, or related technical field preferred.
• 5 years professional experience in project/program management in commercial or defense industry required
• Experience with program management tools and processes such as EVMS, IMP/IMS, and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Own overall program execution, including cost, schedule, and technical performance targets.
• Establish project/program performance measurement baseline.
• Develop and update resource allocation plans and recruit and develop key talent.
• Manage all phases from inception through completion, ensuring cost, schedule, and performance.
• Act as primary customer contact, lead teams and review sessions to ensure requirements are met.
• Coordinate with supporting functions to monitor ongoing performance.
• Identify and address opportunities, risks, and issues across cost and schedule.
