Job summary

Bala Consulting Engineers is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Mission Critical Project Manager for the Philadelphia area. You will lead select large scale projects, mentor staff, and support sales efforts by nurturing client relationships.

This role emphasizes technical excellence and cross-office collaboration. Reporting to the Director of Operations, you will manage budgets, write proposals, and ensure quality across Bala’s services.

Qualifications

• At least five years of experience in engineering consulting or adjacent field.
• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or another relevant field from a 4-year accredited university.
• PE license preferred.
• Strong technical writing skills.
• Knowledge of building codes.
• Strong interpersonal and team building skills.
• Knowledge of industry best practices and the latest technologies for MEP systems design of Mission Critical Facilities with an electrical focus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a project manager on select Mission Critical projects (Data Center, renovations, fit-outs, infrastructure upgrades).
• Client-facing role with RFP site visits and proposal writing; plan, budget, execute and manage internal teams and clients.
• Provide management functions including scope, client management, scheduling, and financials.
• Vet company processes and provide input.
• Assist project managers across all Bala locations.
• Develop a core group of assistant project managers for independent work on similar projects.
• Travel to Bala offices and project sites as needed; national travel infrequent but expected.
• Be a technical resource for staff and lead quality control reviews.
