Job summary

Salute seeks a Data Center Operator (DCO) to maintain the integrity of electrical, mechanical, and controls systems in mission-critical data centers. You will monitor, Commission, and troubleshoot equipment to achieve >99.999% uptime, working with Site Manager and external vendors.

The role emphasizes safety, preventative maintenance, and rapid response to emergencies. Strong knowledge of power distribution, UPS, generators, and building automation is required, with experience leading

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in an engineering discipline from an accredited university.
• Minimum of 5 years of directly related experience operating, installing, and maintaining data center critical equipment.
• Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems used in data center environments, including NFPA and NEC familiarity.
• Military experience would be an advantage.
• Background check per company policy.

Responsibilities

• Place safety at the top of every action and decision.
• Operate, monitor, maintain, and respond to abnormal facility conditions.
• Perform preventive maintenance and respond to urgent issues.
• Coordinate commissioning and integration with management, vendors, and MSO teams.
• Manage work requests, track progress, and verify completion.
• Oversee contractors for daily operations and critical maintenance.
