Job summary

Barton Malow is seeking a General Superintendent for a data center project near Philadelphia, PA. This on-site leadership role requires five days per week on the project site and willingness to travel.

You will lead safety, quality, scheduling, and trades coordination, collaborating with architects and consultants to resolve field and constructability issues while safeguarding scope and budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management or engineering.
• 15+ years of relevant experience including data center construction.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail with contract knowledge.
• Ability to manage change and adapt to new processes.
• Ability to multitask and balance priorities while maintaining customer relationships.
• Strong leadership and diplomatic communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing bid scopes and participate in bidding to clarify scope and select contractors.
• Enforce safety policies on site and ensure safety compliance in the field.
• Organize and manage day-to-day on-site labor and coordinate contractor work.
• Support Project Manager with budget management and forecasting.
• Develop site logistics plans to maximize productivity and minimize occupant impact.
• Establish and implement baseline schedule with input from subs and timing factors.
• Lead pull planning and provide six-week look-ahead reports to Project Managers.
• Communicate daily issues and progress to Project Managers and maintain client relationships.
