Confidential Electrical Contractor in Houston is seeking a senior electrical construction leader to own the Mission Critical operation, build and structure teams around upcoming data center projects, and ensure delivery of secured work.

This role requires strong data center / mission critical project experience, a genuine electrical contracting background, and the ability to develop PMs and operational leaders while managing safety, quality, schedule, cost and risk.

Qualifications

• Strong data center / Mission Critical project experience.
• Genuine electrical contracting background.
• Experience overseeing large electrical scopes and project teams.
• Understanding of electrical construction operations (field, labor, manpower, productivity).
• Experience taking projects from preconstruction and mobilisation into delivery.
• Ability to develop PMs, PXs and operational leaders.
• Strong commercial understanding of cost, change, forecasting and risk.
• Credibility to work with field leadership, project teams, GCs and senior clients.

Responsibilities

• Build and structure teams around upcoming data center projects.
• Lead Project Executives, Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers.
• Set projects up correctly through preconstruction and mobilisation.
• Provide executive oversight across multiple major electrical packages.
• Drive performance across safety, quality, schedule, cost and productivity.
• Manage commercial performance, forecasting, contracts, change and risk.
• Plan manpower and future resource requirements.
• Develop the next generation of operational leadership underneath you.
• Strengthen relationships with GCs, clients and project partners.
• Support the longer-term growth of the Mission Critical business.
