Job summary

Archetype Infrastructure Solutions seeks a Data Center Camera Installer to install, configure, test, and maintain IP-based security cameras in data center environments. You will handle cabling, mounting, testing, and documentation while complying with safety standards and customer requirements.

Responsibilities include fielding camera positioning, testing network connectivity, reading blueprints, and coordinating with project teams to ensure on-time completion.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience installing low-voltage systems, structured cabling, or surveillance cameras.
• Basic understanding of IP networking and PoE.
• Ability to read installation drawings and technical docs.
• Experience with hand and power tools and testing equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Reliable transportation and attendance.
• Ability to pass background checks and drug screenings.

Responsibilities

• Install and mount IP cameras, brackets, housings, and related equipment.
• Pull, route, terminate, label, and test CAT5e/6/6A or fiber cabling.
• Install cable pathways and support infrastructure as required.
• Connect cameras to switches, patch panels, and PoE power sources.
• Assist with camera positioning and field-of-view adjustments.
• Test functionality and troubleshoot installation issues.
• Read blueprints and wiring diagrams and document work.
• Coordinate with project managers and other trades to meet schedules.
• Maintain clean work areas and follow safety and security protocols.
