Job summary

Archetype Infrastructure Solutions is seeking a Data Center Camera Installer to install, configure, test, and maintain IP-based surveillance systems in data center environments. You will mount cameras, pull and test cabling, connect to PoE networks, and verify camera operation according to project specs and safety policies.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints, coordinating with project teams, ensuring clean job sites, and adhering to customer standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience installing low‑voltage systems, structured cabling, security systems, or surveillance cameras preferred.
• Basic understanding of IP networking, Ethernet cabling, and Power over Ethernet (PoE).
• Ability to read installation drawings and technical documentation.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, ladders, and testing equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
• Ability to pass customer‑required background checks and drug screenings.

Responsibilities

• Install and mount IP security cameras and related equipment.
• Route and test CAT5e/6/6A and fiber cabling.
• Connect cameras to network switches, patch panels, and PoE power.
• Read blueprints and installation specifications.
• Coordinate with project teams to complete installations on schedule.
• Maintain clean work areas and follow safety protocols.
• Test camera functionality and troubleshoot installation issues.
