Job summary

Archetype Infrastructure Solutions seeks a Data Center Camera Installer to install, configure, test, and maintain IP-based security cameras in data center environments. You will install cameras, cabling, mounting hardware, and supporting infra while ensuring compliance with customer specs and safety policies.

Responsibilities include routing CAT5e/6/6A and fiber, wiring pathways, PoE connections, and collaborating with project teams to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience with low-voltage systems, cabling, or surveillance cameras is a plus.
• Basic IP networking, Ethernet, and PoE familiarity required.
• Ability to read installation drawings and documentation.
• Experience with hand/power tools and testing equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Reliable transportation and attendance.
• Ability to pass background checks and drug screenings.

Responsibilities

• Install and mount IP cameras, brackets, housings, and related equipment.
• Route, terminate, label, and test CAT5e/6/6A and fiber cabling.
• Install cable pathways (conduit, trays, J-hooks, raceways).
• Connect cameras to network switches, patch panels, and PoE power.
• Assist with camera positioning, focusing, and FOV adjustments.
• Test functionality, verify network connectivity, troubleshoot issues.
• Read blueprints, security drawings, floor plans, and wiring diagrams.
• Label equipment and maintain installation documentation.
• Coordinate with project managers and other teams to meet schedules.
• Maintain clean work areas and follow security protocols.
