Job summary

Archetype Infrastructure Solutions seeks a Data Center Camera Installer to install, configure, test, and maintain IP-based surveillance cameras in data center environments. You will handle cabling, mounting, and Power over Ethernet, ensuring compliance with customer specifications and safety policies.

The role requires reading blueprints, coordinating with project managers and security teams, and performing field testing of network connectivity. Travel to customer locations may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience installing low-voltage systems or surveillance cameras preferred.
• Basic understanding of IP networking and PoE.
• Ability to read installation drawings and technical documentation.
• Ability to pass customer background checks and drug screenings.

Responsibilities

• Install and mount IP security cameras, brackets, housings, and related equipment.
• Pull, route, terminate, label, and test CAT5e/6/6A and fiber for camera systems.
• Install cable pathways including conduit, trays, and raceways.
• Connect cameras to network switches, patch panels, and PoE power sources.
• Assist with camera positioning, focus, and field-of-view adjustments.
• Test camera functionality and troubleshoot installation issues.
• Read blueprints and installation specifications.
• Label equipment and maintain installation documentation.
• Coordinate with project managers and other trades to meet schedules.
• Maintain clean work areas and follow safety protocols.
