Job summary

Amazon’s AWS Data Center Operations team seeks an experienced Data Center Engineering Technician to help maintain mission-critical facilities. You will work on electrical, mechanical, and cooling systems, including generators, UPS, PDUs, CRAC units, chillers, and related equipment, ensuring high uptime and safety across multiple sites.

The role requires travel to data center locations, willingness to train at various sites, and the ability to work long shifts up to 12 hours with on-call

Qualifications

• 2+ years of electrical and mechanical facilities maintenance experience.
• 2+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience.

Responsibilities

• Daily building rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment for 24/7 reliability.
• Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and EPMS.
• Assist in troubleshooting facility and rack‑level events within SLA.
• Perform rack installs and decommissioning within SLA.
• PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Technical writing to support change management.
