Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Engineering Technician to maintain and troubleshoot mission-critical data center facilities, including diesel generators, 3-phase power, UPS, PDUs, CRAC, chillers, cooling towers, and related systems.

You will work on-site, monitor BMS/EPMS, and support a diverse team to ensure high uptime and reliability across AWS data centers. Role involves physical tasks, on-call rotations, and travel between sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Essential requirements include ability to travel to data center locations and between sites.
• Willingness to work at alternate sites during training or deployment phases.
• Travel frequency will vary based on business needs and facility status.

Responsibilities

• Daily building rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety systems.
• Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS).
• Assist in troubleshooting facility and rack-level events within SLA.
• Perform rack installs and decommissioning within SLA.
• Perform PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Prepare technical write-ups to support change management programs.
• Coordinate daily work requests and drive projects from conception to completion.
• Provide on-site support to contractors, sub-contractors and vendors per established practices and local regulations.
• Work shifts up to 12 hours and may rotate; some locations have on-call rotations.
• Role may support more than one location/site.
