Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in Texas is seeking a Data Center Engineering Technician to help operate and maintain mission‑critical facilities. You will work on electrical, mechanical, and cooling systems, including generators, UPS, switchgear, CRAC units, chillers, and fire/life safety equipment.

The role involves rotating shifts, on‑call readiness, and travel between local data centers. The position emphasizes frontline hands‑on maintenance, troubleshooting, and collaboration with internal teams

Qualifications

2+ years of electrical and mechanical facilities maintenance experience.
2+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience.

Responsibilities

Daily building rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment for 24/7 reliability.
Monitor BMS and EPMS systems.
Assist in troubleshooting facility and rack‑level events within SLAs.
Perform rack installs and rack decommissioning.
PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repair of electrical/mechanical equipment.
Write technical documentation to support change management.
Track daily work requests and drive to resolution; manage projects end‑to‑end.
Support on‑site contractors and vendors; ensure work follows practices and local laws.
