Job summary

HITT Contracting is seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Superintendent for Mission Critical projects. You will direct on-site workflow, lead the site team, and ensure safety, quality, and schedule adherence.

You will manage communications with project staff, owners, and subcontractors, maintain daily logs, and coordinate with the project manager to meet aggressive deadlines while maintaining HITT quality standards.

Qualifications

• A four-year degree in construction, engineering or business is strongly preferred.
• In lieu of a degree, additional work experience is acceptable.
• 5+ years' experience in commercial construction with a GC.
• Tenant renovations and fast-paced project experience are a plus.
• Mastery of building processes and best practices.
• Ability to organize resources (people, tools, time) to meet deadlines.
• Project lead experience preferred.
• Previous superintendent or project lead experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, ProCore, Adobe, BlueBeam.
• OSHA 30 Certification preferred.
• Ability to stand/walk long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Strong written and verbal communication and professional presentation.

Responsibilities

• Direct the on-site workflow consistent with the project schedule and safety standards.
• Provide leadership and liaise between project team members and clients.
• Maintain daily site logs and manage punch list through owner/architect acceptance.
• Collaborate with the project manager on scheduling and installation methods.
• Maintain relations with subcontractors and ensure fair treatment.
• Ensure accurate on-site documentation and proactive issue resolution.
• Organize the site team and arrange temporary facilities/utilities; identify long-lead items.
• Work with project manager and site operations team throughout the project life cycle.
