Job summary

HITT Contracting Inc. seeks an Assistant Project Manager to support mission-critical government projects.

The APM will gather, evaluate, and distribute information to keep projects on time, on budget, and to the required quality, while promoting client interests and aligning with HITT's standards. Responsibilities include maintaining safety adherence, managing documentation, assisting in budgets, scheduling, meetings, RFIs and submittals, and coordinating with superintendents and site operations

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; four-year degree in construction, engineering, or business strongly preferred.
• 2–5 years of experience in commercial construction.
• Previous experience on commercial job sites strongly preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook), ProCore, Adobe, BlueBeam, and JD Edwards.

Responsibilities

• Maintain adherence to safety standards.
• Ensure that required documentation is filed.
• Assist in creating and managing project budgets for all assigned projects.
• Develop pre-construction RFP packages.
• Assist in conducting project meetings, setting milestones, and formulating monthly owner reports.
• Establish job processes (RFIs, submittals, pay applications) including approvals of pay apps and subcontract change orders.
• Update project schedules; ensure quality control and manage logistics.
• Assist in managing the closeout process.
• Collaborate with the project superintendent and site operations team throughout the project lifecycle.
